Parkland Receives Funding for its Successful Senior Program
The City of Parkland (“City”) City Commission entered into an agreement for funding and administration of the Community Development Block Grant to be used for the City’s mature adult program that provides for lectures and trips at no cost to Parkland residents. This will be the seventh year that the City has received the grant. Over 110 residents participated in the program last year which is ten more residents than expected. The City hopes to exceed that number this year despite the reduction in funding by Broward County. If you are interested in participating in the City’s Senior program or would like more information about the program, please call the City’ Parks and Recreation Department at 954 757-4105.
